I'll never touch the stock jack again. That piece of junk was crushed by my car and shot out from underneath the car while my friend was working on my SC. It's warped now too. It says it only supports up to 1,500 pounds.

I put a big socket on the end of my jack so I can hook up my craftsman 19volt impact. I can zip up each end in only acouple seconds making tire changes so much easier. pluse less weight to carry around instead of a heavy floor jack that I can't fit under my car now enless I drive over my sledge hammer.

i drive onto 3 2x4's and jack the fronts up 1 at a time by each tow hook, using the crossmember for jack stands b/c my sides for the fronts are now completely soft so they bend under load. for the rear, i drive onto the same 2x4's and jack it up by the diff, using the sides for stands.
I have 2 jacks, both from harbor freight, 1 is a Pittsburgh racing jack w/ rapidpump or w/e, and the other is a US General racing jack. Both look alike, so I'm guessing they're pretty much the same w/ different logo's. Harbor freight isht has been doing me well for the last 5 years, so no complaints here. That's not to say that I completely trust harbor freight stuff, since my jack stands are craftsman.

I've built something like this for my saleen and 350z but not as long as the ones you see in the photo. I didn't build them as long since I mostly use them to lift the car high enough for me to get the jack under the car depending on the job. Both my saleen and 350z are very low so no jack will fit underneath. This has worked for me. The z has a body kit and the way I designed the ramp it clears my front bumper with no issues.
