Default anyone put on a origin front? bumper support question

i have an origin front bumper... real one not a knock off....

well it seems like it will fit good but it wont sit up against the car flat bc of the bumper support beam

do people normally take this off? will it sag or flap around if i take the support off?
i was thinking about cutting the support to make it fit.

i have a friend with an real origin kit for a 240sx and it was the same thing? they had to either take it off or cut it? are the japanese fronts and supports different.

i had a turbo accord before with no support bc of the large intercooler and the bumper was so flimsy and always flapping and sagged.

happens with other some other kits too...just trim or take it off...i rather trim but it seems a pita but it shouldn't be flimsy without it...

I've heard of this with other kits so i decided wichever kit i went with i was gonna shave my support so i still have some support left and its not just gone. I'm glad you said something because i haven't heard of this from this kit before, so now I know i'm gonna have to shave it if i go with it. Thanks for sharing.

I got the version select front, which I think is the same company as origin. Its actually your front impact absorber, and I just took mine off completely. Just hope you never have a front end collision.. *knock on wood*

yeah that whole metal beam had to go....

about 2-3 inches of the bottom of the beam hits the kit and where the beam starts to curve it hits and interferes with the side vent on the bumper.....

and on a side note....

i also got vis vertex sides and rear... and i got a full rear bumper, i thought it was only a lip... i wanted the lip cuz if it didnt fit right its less to modify

and of course it doesnt fit that well at all....

the origin front fits pretty well like i can just lay it on there and everything lines up, doesnt fall of flare out or have to be forced to line up...

the rear bumper i got from vis on the other hand rests on there and flares out and doesnt sit straight or sit where its suppose to unless i put force to both left and right corners to force it down... but it seems to line up if i tried to drill and screw it down.... just havent gotten there yet....

This is common with most body kits it seems. The larger opening for radiator, intercooler etc. always gets in the way. Personally I removed mine and used a crash bar from an '03 Tacoma. It's about half as wide so it fit almost perfectly and now I don't have to worry about a front end collision.
