Airbag Wiring Question - 4 spoke to 3 spoke Conversion
Hey guys I'm trying to switch to the 3 spoke steering wheel and noticed that the stock airbag has 2 red wires coming out and the stock 3 spoke airbag from the gs has 2 yellow wires coming out.
Now the connectors are different as you can see in the picture, but my question is if I cut off the 4 spoke connector how to do I know which of the red wires connects to the yellow wires on the gs wheel ?. Isn't there a + and - wire ?.

This is what i did and worked for me. Others can chime in...
-I cut the old 4 spoke connector with about 1.5-2 inches wire length.
-Before you cut the 3spoke clip, match the 2 yellow clips as you would plug it into you airbag - steering harness.Sorta one on top each other, same direction, wires running parallel.(obviously the 3spoke wont fit on harness)
-take a sharpie/magic marker and then color one of each connector(same side) then clip the 3 spoke connector
-match the sharpie colored wires,solder/crimp & install.
I used an rx3 bag and a gs3 before. No problems.Cake

Well I ended up just cutting the wires and soldered them back w/ electrical tape, I tried prying the sc plug and one of the tabs cracked, so I stopped there as I thought it was risky to go further. I cut the wires as RikTT suggested and everything looks good. Thanks!
