Our SC300 takes the win at Chumpcar World Series 9 hour/6 hour endurance race at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL. Another SC300 took 4th place overall as well.
Hell yeah! Great to see an SC being competitive on the road course.
Is that a hate pig I see?
No it's a fast pig, we just thought since she is a big ole sow pig for a road course car it would be fitting to have a pig on her. Plus, for the original team car since we are based out of Birmingham we picked a word close to that name Burningham and the SC was added this year so we called it Burningham Too.

I gotcha. I thought I recognized it from a patch thing my buddy's into, but then I looked it up and was mistaken.
Are y'all not allowed to keep any glass in the car? The lines of the car look strangely abrupt without a rear window. Still a badass car, though.
So what are the specs of the SC300? Engine, chassis mods?
Is it fully stripped inside? How much did it weigh on the scales?, tire/wheel size, etc.?
The car pretty much has to be bone stock, this year there was room in the rules/points for this car that we put "non-adjustable" coilovers and a larger radiator but that will go away next year because this model was very successful this year and they up the point where it maxes out with no mods. I really need to weigh the car but guessing around 3,050-3,100. I have stripped all of the low hanging fruit and even some that requires a little more work like the hood, trunk, and doors. I think we cut out around 40 pounds out of the hood and trunk. We run either 255/40-17 or 275/40-17. We ran both in this race and we were surprised the car was faster on the 255's, guessing due to gearing (smaller dia) and the tire compound.

Somewhat of an anomaly in this race, the BMW's usually do very well.

Yes we have to remove all glass except the windshield, but can replace them with lexan in the non-driver or passenger windows (for rescue) which would be the rear and small rear side windows for us. It would help us with aero but there have just been other priorities, next year it will have them. And like you, I just don't like the way the car looks without the rear one.
