Nope. Totalled. I bought it and transplanted the vvti and auto into my 95. That being said, can you tell me where your heater valve vacuum line goes? The non vvti have a nipple on the back of the intake, the vvti doesn't seem to have it in the same place.

Default #803 back from a long, long sleep

Ive got #803. I've had it since 2010. Been in my family since new. 62k miles. I just pulled it out of storage and got it running last night. I was afraid it was going to be a big problem having been in there for the better part of 5 years but it started up like a champ is running perfectly. I feel bad I let it sit for so long but I just didn't have the financial means or space to keep it being that I already have two cars on the road in addition to my SC (one of which being a 2005 Legacy GT ).

Now I'm on the hunt for wheels and bringing it for a really thorough detailing next week.

P.S. - pardon the pic quality...they were taken just for sending as text messages to a few friends and family members.

This just came up in a classifieds thread. Are you basing that off the last digits of the VIN? If so, I don't think that's correct. On mine, those digits exceed the production total for '98. In your case, there were 905 '99 SC400s produced, so it's possible but more likely that you're #803 of the total SC300s + SC400s (2815) for the year.

I guess I dont really know how people determined production #, assumed it was the driver's door sticker.

Huh, I never noticed that. You may be on to something... Mine says #721, which fits the year's production total a lot better than the VIN numbers.
