Horsepower help
Okay so I have a non-turbo sc300 a 97 with just an intake and I was wondering what should I do to get more horse power out of my engine? (No turbo)

Or NA-T.
Julian, since you're in Florida you have no restrictions on your ability to convert to turbo. You will not see any appreciable improvements in NA tune unless a small fortune is spent WELL in excess of any NA-T or GTE setup. Sorry to say but that's the truth.
JZ engines were meant for turbo boost and handle it very well. The only exception are the 1998-2005 2JZ-GE engines which need upgraded rods and pistons factored in, unlike the strong 92-97 rods and pistons. All GTE engines are already set up for turbo of course.
All 2JZ blocks and cranks are equally strong for all years. 92-97 GE rods are the same as 2JZGTE rods. 92-97 GE pistons are the same strong material as GTE pistons, just with 10.0:1 compression instead of 8.5:1.
This is one of those engines that takes to turbocharging better than most other engines with extreme durability. Any turbo JZ with a good engine computer will be night and day over any NA 2JZ.
