Default na-t at25 psi vs. gte at 25 psi

I was wondering maybe this is a stpid question, but why would a GTE motor wih the same turbo set up make almost 200 whp more then a na-t with the same turbo set up? i looked all over supra forums and clubna-t and it seems like the GTE motors make more power at the same psi levels then the na-t motors. anyone know why?

you sure we're comparing apples to apples? there's a lot more to making power on a turbo motor than just the PSI. Details on the two setups? While the GTE does have superior head flow both stock and ported it's not a 200whp difference.

Maybe its the tuning. The gte does have forged pistons right.

There is minimal difference between the GE and GTE pistons... again not enough to yield a 200hp difference. Honestly I've never seen this. Given a similar sized turbo, on a 3.0 ge or GTE at the same boost levels using the same fuel with a decent tune there shouldn't be a crazy amount of power difference assuming the same transmissions as well (auto vs manual).

wow is all i can say

lets see if we are comparing apples to apples , im na-t and at 21 psi did 561 rwhp on straight pump gas on a aem ..and with a t67dbb with a .81 hotside and cammed

if we take cams out the equation , it should be around 530 ish but yet rem i was on a 2.5mm hg lowering my compression even more than a straight gte

if you go on supra forums in the dyno section theres a thread dedicated to t67 users posting their numbers , tell me if any gte setup is making more than 550 rwhp at 21 psi ,

its all in the tune and te quality of parts used ..now for a twist , i just upped my compression to 9:3:1 which means 560 ish should be attained with say 18-19 psi max , show me a gte setup doing close to 600 rwhp on pump gas

ED The Tune, C.R, EMS i don't think i have seen that before lol
TT making more power than Na-T at the same Psi level.

Yes a TT can make more power at the same psi if you are Na-T and using the stock GE ECU + SAFC and trying make 500 rwhp
TheGTE will make more power with an SAFC and GTE ECU

they should make around the same power with similar setups.
