Got a shot at a 1994 Lexus Sc300 Twin Turbo 2JZGTE Supra Rx-7 Apexi Greddy HKS Project

for $5K in my home town. Don't know exact details but it's an automatic not manual...but still it's calling to me....

It's probably a JDM Aristo 2JZGTE swap which all come with A340 automatics. Very common.

Totally depends on how well the owner put it together and the condition of the engine, body and cosmetics. It's probably worth around $5k if most of the car's systems are running okay and if everything was wired correctly.

What I don't get it the "RX-7" connection. What does that mean? I understand it was to use HKS, Greddy and Apexi parts. With the word "Supra" did you mean the engine was confirmed to have been from a Supra and not an Aristo?

Tough call. We know almost nothing about it.

Well, assuming its drivable, the motor and labor to just have the swap done would run ya about $5k as it is so yeah, totally worth it. Even if the shell is thrashed, you could buy it and have everything you need to swap into another car and sell/scrap/part out the shell for profit lol..

Ok guys and girls.. I'm selling my SC300.. It's a 1994 SC with a 2JZGTE twin turbo engine swap.. Tons of add ons and tons of extras included with the car.. Small hairline crack in the sunroof that's sealed.. a few dings here and there, and a few chips in the paint, and a few tiny cuts in the driver's leather but it's all wear and tear for an older car.. A/C and Power Steering equipment all installed and working, but have been disconnected to have less strain on HP..

I asked him a few details (milage, number of owners, manual or auto) and got this response:

The mileage is 133k.. The engine only has 40k.. As for the owners, I have no idea.. I do have the title in hand and it is ready to roll anytime

I asked about the "RX-7" connection cause I didn't understand that either and he replied:



There's no connection, just a look up add. .

Which I don't understand either...

He apparently works at a couple of Toyota dealers...not exactly sure at what though...

Hmm, well, best you can do is go drive it and get it inspected, see what they say. And when he added the RX7 is was just a keyword to get more hits. If people put RX7 in a craigslist search, that car will also show up now, just a trick to get more eyes on it, everyone does it, totally normal.
