Default Problem with spoiler led light strip

Does anyone think that Id pass inspection without a third brake light In NY? half the lights are out on my spoiler and the car is past its inspection. Is there a quick fix to this? IF the dashboard rear light warning isn't on am I good? Need to figure this out asap thanks.

I'd be very surprised if a non-functioning center brake light would pass inspection, but if not all of the LEDs are out, maybe you'd sneak by?

Can you source a parcel shelf brake light from a wingless car? That might be an easier short-term fix.

The one that goes on the inside of the window ? Yes i have a 93 parts car but Could not figure out to connect it but yea i was thinking maybe i could sneak by as well. I was thinking of taking the whole thing off and just saying the car didn't come with a third brake light because some don't.

Good luck with finding an inspections person that stupid... Everything made in the last 30+ years is required to have the center brake light. What was it, late '70s / early 80s that that went into effect?

any way you could assist me in finding a thread to add the brake light from the rear window? That be extremely helpful. Or is there a cheap fix for the led lighting strip?

Someone else will have to weigh in on how the parcel shelf brake light hooks up, as I've never seen that setup in person.

I'm in NY and they didn't require it to be functional to pass my inspection this summer. The diode inside the light bar literally crumbled away. I fixed the light by opening up the housing and putting in a white led strip you can get online many places. Just need to make a template once you pull the old led strip/board out.
