Default 92 sc400 speedometer issues

So as of a few days ago it seemed when I was going the speed limit around town or in the highway that I was going was faster than ever one else and noticed that while on the highway with my cruise set at 61 I was going faster than most people which the speed limit is 70 on the highway. After I got to my buddy's house we hooked up his gps in my car to see how far off the speedo was cause I figured it had to be and of course It was. But it's not off by a set number its off by a certain percent the faster I go the more inaccurate it becomes, at 25 mph the gps said 30mph and at 61 mph the gps says 77mph. Anyone know what is causing this? It just started doing this randomly

Could be tire size, changes to gearing, a swapped gauge cluster with a SC300 speedometer, etc.

If I were a betting man, I would say it's been a problem all along and you didn't notice it until now.

There is a possibility that your speed sensor has gone bad.
Check if the results are consistent with different speeds and match it to the GPS and try using two GPSs' while at it. If the speeds are showing differently all the time, it's very possible that your speed sensor has gone bad or the needle in your cluster is dying out. Again, this is all just a theory. You need to test out things and see what it could be at the end.

No its always been accurate it's only as off about a week ago that this problem as shown up

I've tried using it with 2 different gps units and both times the same results. If the needle is going bad how would I test that

None of the above. Send in the cluster, we can repair it. Call/msg for a quote.
