I had the same problem! i ended up heating up the plastic holder that goes on the track the wire goes through just enough to get it off the track of the 400 to put it on the track of the 300 so it would fit the door holes.

I've been getting my OEM parts online from Autonation Toyota Gulf Freeway parts (google "Autonation Toyota Gulf Freeway parts" for the online area) for about 6 years now. Great place and I think they're 35% off MSRP. If I make an order, I usually check my inventory of Lex/Toy (I have a tacoma, too) oil filters since they're about the same price as fram or purolator. I've heard others getting a good deal at Carson Toyota in Colorado.
If you're looking for a part number cross reference (i.e. does this fit), try partsbase.org
I would never, ever try to fix a window regulator component since they're such a pain in the **** to replace. If I go to all the trouble to tear out the window, remove/replace the regulator, I do NOT want to take a chance on having to do that again so I replaced them with new from Lexux. (if you've replaced one you know what I mean)
You probably found this already but here's a link to a how-to..

1sW - you're right - I should have been more specific. I've replaced 3 Regulator parts so far - 2 on my SC and 1 on my daughters GS. Each time I replaced just the regulator and used the existing motor. It was much easier to replace the motor on the SC compared to the GS.
I meant that I wouldn't try to fix any plastic/cables in the regulator since it probably wouldn't last that long.
iContago, just do a search on Ebay and Amazon. Compare the prices you find to an online price at a dealer.

I didn't realize that the window regulator for the 95 was different than the window regulator on a 93 wasn't compatible. that's strange. Unless there is a difference in them. makes no sense.

There is this company: http://www.1aauto.com/
But they only make new aftermarket window regulators for the SC430 and not the 92-00 SC. I find that very curious. I purchased a regulator/motor assembly from them for my father's Camry and the quality looked good.
I guess remaining Toyota/Lexus stock and used are the only options for us at this time...

Im on my 3rd repair of the F'n thing....My issue is not with the plastic bracket but with the gear in the motor part. The gear is 2 metal plates bonded with a rubber isolator. One plate is the square drive and the other is the 3 pin interface with the plastic gear. The rubber disintegrated in mine and the 2 plates separated so it just spins the gear and not the square drive plate. I tried to epoxy what was left, lasted 2 window cycles. Then I made a wooden puck and drove screws through it to make it one solid piece, lasted 3 days then the wood split (!) so I finally said F it and welded the plates together and used a spacer off the C-clip to keep the 3 pins pushed into the gear. Lasted 2 weeks! Now its freewheeling again in the door, window is stuck down and I got to get back in there. I found my window binds going down at the front (rear comes down farther and jams) I told boy to push down on front of window to get it over this interference but I dont know why its binding now. I greased everything I could, even the rubber weatherstrips. This is probably what is ripping my repairs part. Could this root interference be this plastic guide? And do you think a nylon gear from another 90s Toyota regulator would be the same part? Its under the gold plate of the motor portion that pries off with no tools.
