Default Tilt Steering Suggestion, not PROBLEM !!

Ever since I installed the HKS turbo timer, I noticed that when I get out of the car, after locking the doors, and removing the key, the tilt steering wheel not go up on its on. If I leave the key in, but still in the off position, then wait for the timer to count down to 0, then remove the key, it works like it should. I want to ask the wiring guru's if there is a way to trigger the steering wheel up when I pull the key out, while the timer is counting down, and the car is still running. Has anyone thought of this, or had this problem, or is my steering just weird? Tomorrow I would like into this, while I am off and have some spare time. Secondly, how is this steering wheel tilt triggered? Can it bypassed or triggered another way???

Thanks,
Mark

No one knows anything about the wiring in the steering wheel column?

NO one has any input on this on what wire could be tapped to allow the steering to be raised once the key is out? There must be a way.

This is what I have with the remote start system as well. If I turn the car on with remote then get into the car and put the key in, no auto tilt. Same when the car is on and let run and take the key with me, if it shuts off it will not tilt the wheel back. I guess its run by a chip or ecu so that 2 conditions must be satisfied (car off/key in and vice versa) so the signal is sent to tilt back or forth. Not sure if it can be rewired or bypassed.

Trace some wires see where they go.

Finally somone posted a similar problem. I notice on my Avital alarm that when I turn the key the to the "ON" position, while the door is still open (either of them), the auto door locks wont work. I guess the factory alarm is still engaged somehow. I was also wondering why the factory light for the alarm also works as normal as well. Just a couple of weird things going on. Nothing crazy that I couldnt live with, but things I would like to figure out.
