Default No sound from speakers after carwash

Hey guy i was wondering if anyone had problems with the stereo on a 97 SC400 . My stereo was working fine for the past couple months and then today I decided to give a car a clean rinse at the local car wash. Right after I was done , I started the car right up and just like that the front speakers had no sound. I can hear the bass from the trunk speakers and thats about it. Would it be possible if water somehow got inside ? ALSO when I purchase the car , it had the "PREMIUM SOUND" installed and also a nakamichi head unit in the trunk as well.

The water somehow fried your speaker amp? It is not uncommon for water to get into the trunk and fry the cd changer and the amp underneath it (not sure which one for sub or speakers)

It could be a fried amp or blown speakers? To check the amp follow the first link and look to see if there is any water/rust around the amp. Can't see any that's good news because that means that the speakers in the rear or front are blown. I had all my speakers stop functioning an it turned out to be that my rears were blown causing the front to no longer work. Perform a test with a cheap/small speaker to the back +/- terimals, if you get sound the speakers are dead. Follow the DIY in link two to replace the old with new speakers.

Steps for the front, although I would think they are fine, since the front do not get much sun/heat exposure.

Sounds stupid but you could also check the wiring to make sure nothing came unplugged. The ground wire for the deck could also be touching something or came undone. I had that happen to me several times with my Pioneer 7000

^ Possible if using an aftermarket unit. Had that happen to me a that I thought my unit was fried. From what I read he has oem nak unit. Follow teal's instructions as I have no experience whatsoever with oem speakers (never had any except for one car that had an amp for each speaker).
