Hey guys, am i mistaken or have i seen a few guys running around with powdercoated cam gear and timing covers?

I know they are plastic but i swear ive seen people with them powdercoated.

Yeah, there's a few around here bro...some were done by shops, others were done as a D.I.Y. I'm attaching a link from RGW LLC-he does good work, and if you scroll down you can see some pics as well. he also has his email there too-u should hit him and up and see what he can do for you? Thanks for the response! actually what i meant was the cam gear and timing covers. not the valve covers.

^^^^yeah, I know what you meant...I've seen OEM cam gears powdercoated, I've also seen them polished as well. And as far as the timing covers (which are plastic) there's a few members that have done this already. I just posted up that link so you could have some references.

You cannot powder coat plastic. It will melt in the bake. But painted sure thing.
