Mileage on your SC...
Okay, so while coming back home from Atlanta I had a lot of time to reflect on my car and listen to some tuneage. For some very strange reason, I kept thinking that the SC is what a Corvette should have been for years- only less powerful. But I digress.
So I'm coming from a 5spd Infiniti G20 which got me 32+ mpg on the highway as long as I didn't stomp on it or got stuck in terrible traffic. For any of you who've ever taken a trip through A-Town, you know exactly what I'm talking about- it just doesn't move, and when it does it's in spurts. Stop, speed up, slow down, speed up and stop again.
I'm punchy today.
So I played with the trip computer and realized that I had averaged about 26.3 mpg at an average speed of 70.3 mph. That's not bad for a 15 year old car; but then I remembered hearing a long time ago that the SC400's still got better gas mileage than their SC300 siblings.
SO...
What's your best mileage? This is a contest which anyone can enter, regardless of mods or your budget for improving your ride.
My stats for the Red Rocket ('97 SC300): 27.3 MPG best, 1943 miles total driven to date. ~145k on the clock.
If interested, respond with your best mileage, total miles driven since you've had the car and total mileage on the clock. I figured it's a good way for us to have some friendly competition and get to know each other better.

yes there is already a few threads on this from not too long ago.
It seems like we all get very different gas mileage out of these cars lol.
I guess mileage , maintenance and other factors can drastically change the amount of gas mileage you can get, im long overdue for a tune up and some other things, im not getting very good mileage atm.

Asha'man, love the name. I really do miss his books, even though he had a tendency to lose himself in the details. Like 700 pages worth, but I digress. Favorite book of all of RJ is The Great Hunt.
Anyway, back on topic (sorry about that CL, I just like to recognize from one fan to another- hello xwing!). Anyway, mileage in the city lately has been poor at ~17 MPG. But my commute is less than a mile each way, so can't really complain. Still love the fact that we can give the raspberry to newer cars, and our youngest members are 11 years old!
(Only one man would dare give me the raspberry... _____________!)
Couldn't resist, still feeling punchy.
