Default To anyone out there with a '97-'00 front bumper.

Have you guys ever seen these plastic clip things before?

They came with the '97-'00 JDM front bumper I just purchased recently and I've never seen anyone else with a '97-'00 front bumper (Be it OEM or Auto Couture) have these on their SC's...

Here's a pic of them on the bumper of where they're suppose to go...

Here's a pic of a couple of 'em removed from the bumper...

If anyone can chime in on what the hell these things are, That'll be great! Thanks!

Can't imagine an actual name for them at the moment... looks like they're just there for style.

Maybe they are supposed to be airflow guides. They probably don't do much though. Not sure.

It does have them or something like it on 91-96 bumper too! It's just for style, if you have them on your car and step back, you will like,*only see the horizontal center bar and not the liltle vertical bar that hold the horizontal bar.

Well.. that's what I think. Want some for mine, because I think I look better when you dont really see the verticals.

My SC has them. They most likely provide strength and support for the lower part of the bumper.

Yep.... my 97 has those too. I actually had them painted as well when I repainted my front bumper and shaved off the license plate holes.

Those cover up the plastic supports in the bumper causing them to fade into black at a distance.

It removes the ugly looking criss cross shape

turning into a single smooth straight line

at a distance.

My Soarer has these. They were designed to cover up the vertical reinforcements in the bumper. Only the horizontal piece is supposed to be visible.
