How to check ABS codes
Anyone know the procedure for checking ABS codes in a 93 SC 400. The info I have is for a LS 400. It says to jump E1 and Tc and count the abs light flashes. All I get is a fast blinking CRUISE light.
I'm trying to determine if I have a bad whell speed senor and which whell it is on,
TIA

My problem may not be your problem, but I chased a ghost for 6 months on my RX. Service manual clearly stated make sure you have a fully charged battery. My trouble started with a battery going bad and the alternator charging system overworked and blew diodes. The burnt diodes were creating enough AC ripple to trigger ABS error for me. Once the rectifier bridge was replaced, no more ABS warning and I have spare brake modulator and controller board.

I have a friend that used to be a mechanic. He dug thru his old stuff and came up with an early model SnapOn OBD1 reader with the Toyota connector. Hooked it up and it showed a bad left rear speed sensor. So much easier than pin jumping.
I'm all about sharing so anyone in the Charlotte, NC area who would like to use it just let me know. I don't actually own it but I can check to see if he would allow me to mail it to anyone who needs it.
