Default Crazy idea. Rear seats swapping?

So recently I'm starting to swap my torn interior and give it a decent look. I have always planned to buy new leather cover by leatherseats.com and put them on my old seats until this morning... and a crazy idea popped out.

Why don't I swap my front and rear seats with other cars's oem seats? I was thinking of evo 8's leather recaro seats... The reason why I don't want to buy racing bucket seats from bride/sparco/recaro etc. is because of their price and their look. I do not want my SC to look sporty and hence I would love to stick with the leather seats.

I wonder has anyone ever done that, and will it fit?

Something like that, or something from GS would be nice too.

swapping the rear seats is kinda pointless because the rear oem seats are nothing but foam so they're pretty light. the front oem seats i can understand swapping because there so heavy

If you're gonna go classy/sporty do what ScotturNot did. Bride leather!

Just looking at that picture I can tell you it's too wide. But as the old saying goes: Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it. But for the money you'ld pay to get the seats, and make them fit I'd rather buy a SICK set of replacement skins for the stock seats

I thought they look quite good... One of the reason Why I don't want to restore my old front seats is because the plastic part of it (the base) is broken... so if I really want to restore them, I have to buy a pair of front seats and seat covers, and that would cost me around 1k at least... Sound stupid if I'm not swapping in racing seats right? But then I don't like those fabric/ suede look so I came across of this evo seats idea.

I can't imagine being lucky enough to find rear seats that drop in place since we have molded foam. There's nothing to change around or brackets to move; it either fits or it doesn't.

The front seats you maybe able to do some welding and get other seats on the stock rail, but the rear seats is all molded foam, good luck finding something that will drop in, if you do post up here so we can all learn from them.
