Manually lowering the steering column

Manually lowering the steering column
Before anyone says anything yes I searched. Problem is most of the answers are for fixing a non-operational steering column, which doesn't help me because my steering column works perfectly fine. That is when there's an engine, wiring harness, battery and battery harness in the car. None of which are currently present. I saw one post from 2006 where someone mentioned 4 bolts at the base of the steering column that can be loosened in order to lower the whole apparatus.
The only reason I need to do this is because I have to get the gauge cluster out of the dash to send it to Dr. Tweak with my harnesses. So any help locating the bolts would be much appreciated. Thanks!
PS: I enjoy pictures more than descriptions, but descriptions are adequate. :P

well i did it because the my motor was to weak to move the column more the a 1/2 inch
but on the left side of the column there are 4 bolts that you remove with a Philips screw driver after that in the motor is the gear wheel you remove that with a 12mm socket if i recall correctly and a paper clip to pull the wheel out then you grab some pliers or vice grip and you twist keep twisting it till it can't go any lower...
