Default City light problem!

Was replacing a burnt bulb today in my parking/city light and when i put the bulb in, it didnt turn on. took the bulb out and tried it the other way and same problem. When i looked at the holder, it looked burnt out. the tip of it looked like it had burnt out.

What do i do to fix this? Do i need a new bulb holder? tried many different functioning lights an none of them worked so.

any advice would be appreciated

Try checking the fuse first. If the fuse for the park lights are good, try cleaning the terminal or the bulb holder with a contact cleaner. If it still doesn't work then there's your answer, you need to change the bulb holder. It must be burned out due to age of the car and halogen bulbs really create heat, that's why I changed every single bulb of mine to LED when I first got my SC, and LED have lower wattage, changing one bulb wouldn't make a difference but since I changed all I guess it helps... A bit...
