I looked for the SC400 just because it had a bigger engine.. almost no one around my age or at my school knows the difference between a 1UZ and a 2JZ. but when they hear "V8" they can tell its a better engine..

Cool SCFAQ: Should I get a sc300 or sc400?

Having hard time deciding. I will pick one up this week. 300's will be fun with a turbo kit. 400's are nice and smooth but limited when it comes to ability to modify. Anyone would like to chime in?

im going with a sc3, mostly because of the variety of mods, rather have a sc4, but the cost of putting twins on it is just to much of a tag for me to deal with on my budget. might pick one up later when i finish school and have more time for work.

As redundant as this thread is, since I've been in the market for another SC I'm finding myself asking the same question. I think I'm gonna end up settling on whatever I can find in blk/blk first lol..

Guys I'm going to merge this thread with several others on exactly the same topic since I'm finalizing the FAQ this week.

Not to go against you or anything, maybe not include this thread? this doesn't really help anyone.. the older threads actually have comments, this one was all about searches

Well honestly his post was about exactly this topic and folks just telling him to search took it off topic instead of helping him <edit in retrospect I removed the OT posts>

Regardless it's merged in here now Since a couple of the threads had polls I reset them and created something a bit broader.

Curious about the SC400 300,000+ mile monster comment, is this for a non-vvti 1UZ or a VVTi 1UZ?

I went with a 400 because I wanted my first 2j to be a mk4 in the future. Plus I heard the 1uzs are bulletproof.

Test drive both. Choose which one you want for your liking now and in the long run, consider time and money for your determination. Done.
