How are the turbo guys passing emissions?
Just curious about how the guys who are running turbo's are passing emissions?
Does, the car just pass without much fuss from the DMV, or do you have to take drastic measures such as removing the turbo, to pass?
Oh yeah, how is Clint's SC300 tt passing emissions?

I have the SC4 but from what I've heard emissions isn't a problem. I've heard of turbo supras passing emissions WITHOUT cats(Anyone wanna set me straight, or am I right?). I would suspect it is a non issue. The hardest part for those guys is keeping the tires from spinning ...
Speaking of which, I'm thinking about maaaaaaybeeee trading my SC4 for a 300... hmmm anyhow, emissions, N/P.

It depends on the state. Here in IL it's kind of a problem. I belive that's why they keep the stock cats and echaust and put it on every two years to pass the emitions. Funny thing with turbo is you can turn down the boost. So normally what they do is turn down the boost, put stock echaust on and drive around atleast 30 min before doing the emissions.
I had never owned a supra, so I may not be correct.

Northern Indiana and Illinois (Chicago area) both have pretty strict visuals. They won't test if you have a tiny leak anywhere in the exhaust system. Also, the new dyno tests SUCK. Get your car well-tuned up before you go. If you are off at all, they beat your car on the dyno to 55mph and you will fail if your car isn't really perfectly performing (60% failure rate on the dynos).
