recently purchased a 93 sc400. Was told it's a "special gold edition" (In Canada). The car has special wheels with the same thing writen on it. The car is lowered a little and has 17" wheels with complette gold trimming of the chrome. Does anywhone knows about this?

I also live in Canada. Try going to the forum for SC300/SC400. You should be able to get an answer. I also have the gold package. I called Lexus and they told me it was the trim package with 24k gold plating on the emblems. Welcome aboard..

mine seems to have a little more than that done to it. We really need to talk to compare our cars. What year is your's? Mine has special sport 17' gold wheels (not lexus but instaled by dealer) lowered suspension (about an inche and a 1''1/2 inche) plus all the options and a gold trim instead of chrome.

I have only had my car for 3 weeks. It's a 92 SC400. I'm in Canada so I don't know if there gold package or any of the options are the same as the American SC. We can't get the 300 in Canada. All of my exterior trim is gold plated. I also have factory chrome wheels that I haven't seen on any other one. I have all the other options including the wood grain trim on all the interior components. I have 159 KM on the car and is origional black paint. 16 inch wheels.

Yes their is a "Special Gold Edition". I had it for the 92 model year. It came with gold emblems plus gold Lexus/BBS wheels.

Not sure if they changed the wheel package for '93, but it sounds like the same deal.

I'm in the gallery. It is garnet red with the gold BBS rims. I have since removed all of the gold and replaced with silver/platinum.
