Got a call back from corporate last night at 6pm EST. Said they were still reviewing the details and would contact me soon.
My dealership service department called me tonight to schedule an appointment to look at the steering.

UPDATE::
Took the vehicle in this morning to our dealership, at the request of Lexus Corporate. They had the car all day, and finally called me back. "The entire steering column needs to be replaced...as per the TSB..."
This is the same issue that I brought up almost 2 years and 20K miles ago, and again 5 months later. Both times they couldn't duplicate the issue. Now all the sudden it needs to be replaced...$2,953.20.
Lexus corporate has agreed to pay 75% of the cost. It's better than nothing, but still leaves us with $738. My wife is on her way to pick it up now. They will have to order the part and need a full day to repair it.
I called Lexus Corporate back to see if they're willing to cover all of it, due to the notes in our service record about this issue being dismissed twice already. They've essentially washed their hands of it and said offering over $2,200 for an "out of warranty" item is very generous (and it is).
My wife will attempt to plead our case with the service manager at our dealership to gauge their interest in any more of a discount.
Our service advisor said it is "not a safety issue". My wife doesn't even notice the noise. It worries me that she drives our 5yr old child around. Anything that involves the steering has to be a bad thing, right?
I have advised them to proceed with the work, but eating $738, is not sitting well with me right now.
Any thoughts?

Good idea. But will close the thread with this message.
If you want to talk about a specific issue and a search doesn't locate an open thread then start one on that topic. This car is not known to have 'common' problems.
