Does anybody take their RX to a Toyota dealer for oil changes and such? Where I stay in FL during the winter, the nearest Lexus dealer is an hour and a half away.

Welcome to Club Lexus, joneholc.
You will not get the level of service you might at Lexus, such as a free car wash, but you will not have any problems in going to Toyota. I often recommend them as they have an Express Lube Service where if you have a prior appointment you can get in and out in under an hour. Just bring a lunch or something to read. The filter you would get from Toyota is the same filter you would get from Lexus.

Our nearest Lexus dealer is at least 240 miles away--over the mountains in Denver--and most Lexus owners out here use the local Toyota dealer for minor maintenance items, like oil/filter changes, rotate tires, etc. This type of minor work at a Toyota dealer is "authorized" by Lexus, and won't void your warranty.
Be advised that a Toyota dealer cannot perform any warranty work on a Lexus. Warranty work on a Lexus MUST be done at a Lexus dealer.
Also interesting to note that any work done at a Toyota dealer will not show up in the Lexus database, so you must keep paper records should you need them to prove the work was done when it was supposed to be.

I've taken mine to the local Toyota dealer for many years. Good quality. Treat me well. Treat my car well. I don't know what brake pads they use, but it seems they go out more often than they should and have way more dust than they should. The original OEMs didn't have any brake dust that I remember. I've mentioned this, and they said they'd put better quality on them. Seems like my back brakes don't produce dust so hope they did what they said they would do.
Another note: I go in and always have them drive me home, even for a simple oil change. Seems like it's 1.5 hours at minimum if I wait, so I just tell them to take me home.

If you look at the dealer service record at lexus.com (under Owner's Resources - MyLexus), you can add your own date, mileage, & description of a non-lexus-dealer-performed service.
