We have a 2010 RX350. It makes a noise at a strange time. While in the garage with the engine off sometimes it makes a humming noise. The noise can last up to five minutes. It sounds like it could be coming from the back but not positive. The car has not been operated for several hours when the noise occurs. If I start the engine and immediately cut it off the noise goes away. I know that it will never do this if I take it to the Lexus dealership. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any assistance.

I had the same problem but after reading "this thread" from Kitlz, I'm relieved to know this is normal.
