SMS message quick reply

Depends on the phone. If you have an iPhone, it's not compatible for replying so the option won't show up.

More like an Apple security issue. Apple locks a lot of things down that Android phones don't. Certain android phones will work with message reply. It just all depends on the capability of the phone.

I am able to reply. When the message come in it asks if I want to Read It or Ignore It. When I respond Read It, the message is read to me. Then asks it I want to reply, and if I do I speak my response and it reads it back to me. If correct I simply say send and off it goes.

Thanks... I see the feature for "Multimedia system sends text message successfully." for my S3 from Sprint. I will look more closely for the "reply". I assume however it would not present me with a keypad but does voice-text conversion (or am i dreaming?).

I checked tonight an old message on my phone (not one that just came in while driving). I do not see a REPLY feature shown. My Samsung S3 is listed as supported in that link.
Is there an option I neeed to adjust?

I just checked using a coworkers S3. I get the same as you. Have you tried it while driving? I wonder if the reply only shows up while driving? Otherwise if you're parked, you could just use your phone. It's pouring rain here so haven't had a chance to test that yet.

Contacted Lexus today.. she said it should work and to contact Sprint.
Did you configure anything special on your S3 (or other cells) to enable the "canned" responses to be displayed and/or the REPLY button?
i can go into Options (when car is not in gear) and open the Options and can actually edit the canned responses but they are never displayed to me.

Well Sprint says there is nothing on the phone to set.
I pulled the battery and tried again. Same issues...
While I can see/edit the 'quick' replies in Options, I do not see those options after reading a message nor any Reply button. Funny thing today is that my test SMS message would not display (in text) on the screen but only be read.
Sounds like gremlins.
I will bug Lexus dealer again ):
And maybe try a friends phone later....
