Keep tires/wheels straight when parked?
Does anyone know if keeping the tires/wheels straight when parked would help with the longevity of the steering wheel and/or the car powering system?
I still have not heard a clear answer on this and just wanted your opinion for a RX.

I'm with Happy on this one. I don't think it should affect the longevity of either the tires or the power steering system and if it does, it would be so negligible that it wouldn't matter. Besides, if you're parallel parking you should be turning your wheels toward the curb just in case the car rolls anyway. If you're not parallel parking, I still don't think it'll matter much.

I completely agree with the other members. The answer is there's no difference. And that's coming from a 17 yr driving history both in the East Coast and now here in CA.
