yahj,did you get self tapping screws with the mud guard kit for the rears?

A few of us bought Lexus mud guard kits from a Canadian dealer and drilling wasn't necessary with that kit.

Possibly the installation hardware is different between Sewell and the Canadian Lexus dealer part.

it's a soft plastic to drill into anyway so I guess you can use the self tapping screw.

Good to know guys. I am just afraid soemtimes when you use self tapping screw into thin plastic, there is a chance of causing spider cracks on the plastic.

Mudflap Install

Just received a set of mudflaps from Sewell. The install was easy. I marked the spot with a pen where the self-tapping screws touched the plastic area and then slid the clips over the mark on the plastic piece. The plastic area is relatively soft and no drilling was required. The install probably took all of 15 minutes for the four flaps.

Ended up ordering mine from parkplace Lexus https://www.parkplacelexusparts.com. Even though their price is $62, Its free shipping for orders over $50. So I went with them over Sewell which was ~$67. Can't wait to them on the rx...

Lexus Mud Guard Instructions (PDF)

I ordered a set of mudguards for my 2016 NX200t F Sport. Installation was very easy, including drilling into the plastic trim.

I put mine on about a couple of weeks after I bought the car. Looks OK. I wish they were color matched with the paint instead of black. The first gen RX had color matched mudguards..
