$3100 off MSRP!
I'm going tonight to trade in our '99 2wd (73000 miles) for a Flint/Grey 2wd 330 with premium plus, 18" wheels, wheel locks, and cargo mat. I used Carbuyingtips.com for some advice. We're getting what I figure to be $3100 of sticker (5% profit for the dealer) and exact wholesale bluebook for the trade. I realize they're going to make thousands on the trade (retail used is $21450) and that probably explains the better than average discount on the 330 but my wife didn't want the hassle of selling privately (even for an extra probable $2000!) and the car is for her so I gave in (I know, two grand is two grand). Also, this 330 has a very common/popular configuration in Southern California so that figures in as well. Anyhow, wish me luck and I'll post back with first impressions.

Not quite $3100 in the end
The dealer in question is Keyes in Van Nuys. I didn't have the best experience negotiating as they still hemmed and hawed when I went back. But, because I had a spreadsheet from Carbuyingtips.com with me that showed that my offer gave them 5% profit plus the 1000's they would surely make on the tradein, they agreed to $2300 off MSRP and $1000 more than wholesale blue book. If the trade in had not been a part of the deal, it would have been a very good deal from what I've read here. But, with the trade in, all bets are off and you could argue that they sold me the car for sticker and gave me what amounts to private party value for my 99 RX. However, I wanted to pay out the door 24,500 and ended up doing 25,300 (incl. tax/license/reg) so maybe that's no great shakes but I'm happy. BTW, we love it and I'll post impressions after some more miles. To all of you thinking of using the spreadsheet I referred to, be sure to add in lic/reg to the equation as the sheet doesn't have it figured in (I had to pay another $300 'cus of that oversight).
