Power steering pump
I have a lexus rx 330. Pump started making noise and low on fluid. We replaced all the belts and new pump. After installing new pump it was leaking from fill cup cap when driving also making a lot of noise on cold start. Mechanic said new pump was bad so we put in another one. Car ran fine as soon as we put it in and bleed good. Following morning afain a lot of noise on cold start and noise goes away about 10 minutes but again small amount of fluid leaking from cap on fill cup. I replaced the rubber ring on cap to get a tight seal but again nothing. Any one have any idea what may be causing this? Thank you.

The basic routine is:
"Put your front wheels up on jack stands. Both tires must be off the ground. Add power steering fluid as needed and begin bleeding the pump and rack by starting engine and turning slowly from side to side several times. Pause on each end of travel for several seconds. There will be sounds and the steering will not be smooth until the the air is purged. Lower the car back to the ground when completed."

Yes that is how we bleed the system. We are now on our second pump. Problem is it is still leaking from the top of cup where you add the fluid. I already replaced the rubber ring on the cap thinking the seal was loose. I can't figure it out. Only leaks a little after driving. Almost like pressure coming out. Also unit makes a lot of noise on cold start then goes away after 5 minutes.
