Power Inverter-Mileage?
I wanted to reach out to the group and see if I can get a read on how many users have had issues with their power inverter and what the mileage on their vehicle might be?
I have a 2006 with 99K miles on it and I don't want to run into an issue with a coolant leak or a power inverter failure, primarily since it is so expensive to have repaired. Our vehicle fell into the recall and had the power inverter replaced by Lexus under the recall at about 90K. I guess I am trying to see how many folks have had an issue and at what mileage. I am not sure if I should be concerned for a couple of reasons, one mine has been replaced and two, how big of a problem is it. If everyone with over 100K is running into problems, then it is a big issue. If only a small number of claims are being made, then my percentages are much better to keep driving the vehicle for another couple of years.
We have been good about having the maintenance done and recently did the timing belt and water pump change. I have not noticed any signs of a coolant leak...and I assume I would see a puddle on the ground under the vehicle if something was going wrong?
Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.

The inverter and the engine have two separate cooling systems. One could leak and would not effect the other. As for inverter failures, yes there has been some. The Toyota prius is a great example of longevity however with many with over 200k miles and still going strong.
