Clock Time
I have noticed that my car's clock always gets ahead of itself. Today it was 13 minutes faster than it should have been. It seems to be something that accumulates over a period of time and the last time I reset was a few months ago. Anybody come across this and know if this is just a bug or something I will just have to keep on doing every so often?

I would think a battery issue would cause the clock to lose, not gain time. At least that's what happens when the computer MB battery starts to go. Sounds more like a clock problem.

That's always been my experience that a battery problem would reset it not make my clock go forward in time. It might be a clock problem. I will monitor how long it takes to get out of sync again and if I need to adjust accordingly (no mood to take out my Nav unit to then replace the clock unless of course it totally starts to be silly).

Yes I would have also expected a problem battery to reset the clock not make it increase time. Maybe my battery is just awesome and supercharges my clock.

My wife had a 2001 Toyota RAV4 and the clock in it would always be 5 - 6 minutes ahead. If you reset it, within three days it would be 5 - 6 minutes ahead and then stay that way. Didn't seem to matter what the battery condition was. Never did figure out why. Her 2010 RAV keeps time better than her watch.
