Oxygen Sensor Failure
#16
I share your pain. That is the reason I don't let dealer touch my RX unless either I know exactly what is wrong. Many times, I will get second or more opinion. If ou are sure that the issue was not related with O2 sensor, I suggest that you file a complain to Lexus so that the corrective action can be taken. You may also sue the deal to get back what you have paid due to faulty diagnose.

There is nothing mechanically different between the rx and toyota highlander. Only differences are interior and cosmetic. There is no reason for a lexus to cost more to repair except for free loaners and coffee.

Hi everyone,
I have noticed I'm getting lesser mileage on my 2005 RX330 with 110K mileage, I'm thinking replacing air -fuel ratio sensor to improve the issue; will it improve my gas consumption? any picture to show where is at? I would greatly appreciate any feedback and help.

I think they have done something to our fuel. My millage has been alot lower lately too, and the winter blend garbage should be gone by now.

Problem update... Check Engine light was going on/off for some time, so I agreed with the dealer to replace 2nd sensor.
After waiting for weeks (they ordered wrong sensor for 2 times), the correct one finally arrived today. The dealer replaced it, and... surprise surprise, Check Engine light is still on. Furthermore, they scanned the car and told me that computer still shows that oxygen sensor (which was replaced today) is BAD.
WTF? Guys at dealer had no idea...
