Car does not respond as it should
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and would really appreciate your help !
Got my Rx330 2004 model (used) with 20000km's . Now on my 30000's , it stopped responding as it used to. When I first got it, the car used to respond like hell. Very fast accelerations, real power could be felt. Suddenly, on an early morning, I start the car and could feel the exhaust sound coughing. When I put it on reverse, the whole car starts to shake, until i push the accelerator.
Put in on Drive (D), the car stops shaking, but as soon as I press on the accelerator, the exhaust again does the same coughing sound during the 1st gear, and "loss of power" can be felt.
I have checked the exhaust with a mechanic, and it seems to be perfect !
Just cant figure out what the problem really is !
Please help me on this !
Please let me know if you need any details !

Are you getting a Check Engine Light?
Where does your RX stand in maintenance? What is the warranty situation and what does the dealer say?
You can try disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hr or so. [Caution: you may loose your presets]
The root cause seems to be the engine and the exhaust just muffles the engine sound.

Yea .. I am getting the check engine light ! unfortunately ! But I only get it for some time, and after 10 to 15 min it disappears !
Forget about warranty and dealer as the car is imported ! !
Do you think it has anything to do with the spark plugs ?
Thankz for your help !
