Help! No solution to creaking trunk!
Correlating with this thread. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hyb...07-rx400h.html
I have searched and read numerous threads about the rear door noise...
As I have stated, I tried the following options:
Trial 1- Drove without doing anything
Trial 2-Drove while the cargo cover buttons were DOWN
Trial 3-Drove while the cargo cover was removed
All failed.
I am 99.9% sure the noise is coming from the back door itself.
I read where someone replaced the felt pads? I noticed some felt on the rear door ITSELF, they were torn but I doubted an item so minute would have an affect on the noisy trunk.
Any comments are greatly appreciated.

not sure if you have done this, but get a friend or your spouse to drive while you crawl around the back and feel and push to better pinpoint. (ideally a parking lot would be safest)
also, jsut to eliminate the hatch rattling, you could take some electrical tape and wrap the steel hook the hatch grabs, just a few times around will make it a little tighter.

I had the "tonneau cover latch rattle repair" done under warranty. You are likely thinking you have no problem with the tonneau cover. However, the actual repair has to do with the back door itself. They changed spacers and panels in the door. This solved the annoying rattle that I had in the cargo area.
The following parts were replaced:
1 67754-48050-B0 Spacer, Back Door TR
1 67754-48060-B0 Spacer, Back door TR

They did the same as RainBird for me.. still making noises.. then they replaced something on the back seats that there was a recall for (plastic crap that are located right behind the seats).. then they said I had to condition the leather! so they don;t know! sucks!!!

I replaced the felt pads with thick silicone pads, which completely solved the creaking noise. I know, it's hard to believe such a small item can make such a difference.
