Master Cylinder/Loosing fluid
SUV had a problem the other day my wife driving home from work when
suddenly she hear a scary noise coming from the brake everytime she pushed
the brake pedal, luckily she's almost home. Open the hood find out master cylinder resevoir empty way down min. line top off the resevoir and bleed all
the line I was able to get rid of the noise because of air in the system.
For 2 days I observe if the brake is OK so far it's functioning well except that everytime I check the resevoir it's way down the min. level

I checked the brake system for any leak didn't find one, now I'm wondering if there's no leak where's that fluid going
I had a hint maybe I'm wrong ,
only place I could think of is the brake booster .
Does anybody hear or experience a problem like this, ANY TSB of this type
for RX330 2006.
Called up dealer for a Tuesday appointment. (5/27/08)
will update as to what happen.

Update:
Got my RX today, based on the invoice explanation cause of the problem SPLIT SEALS. They change the brake booster assembly & Master cylinder assembly vehicle still under warranty so no charge for the services.

Thank God for the warranty. The cost would have been major. How many miles on your RX? Did you ever have the brake fluid changed? I am at the dealership all the time with issues and asked a couple of techs about this and they said it is very common on the RX models!

Bought a used 04 RX330 back in april of 09 w 45k mi. Now a couple months later w/ 50K mi the exact same thing has happened to me. Checked all the brakes myself and everything's good. Pulled the vacuum line and check valve out of the brake booster, stuck a long skinny hose in and sucked out a good amount of brake fluid. Called dealer to change out the master only, part alone is $440! Luckily I dont have to pay for labor since I work @ Toyota. Never seen this part fail so early on a car before...=(
