Default brake fluid leaking

Ive noticed drips of brake fluid on my driveway, so i looked under my car and it appers that the leak is dropping from the driver side front of the car but cant seem to find where its coming from. i checked around the caliper and the lines but its all dry there, so i checked around the hydraulic brake booster. i can see that it dripped on the exhaust manifold heat shield so it must be coming from the booster area.

since i still have waranty on the car, i took the car to the Lexus dealer to have it checked out. they said that there is nothing leaking, but they mentioned that the reservoir cap is defective because it letting brake fluid seep out of it. this was yesterday. this morning i checked under the car and found more drips on the floor. i checked the reservoir cap and it was dry all around it. i also noticed that the fluid dropped approx. 1/8" overnight. car drives and brakes fine. the brake pedal feels normal too. i figured it would get spongy if there was a leak.
im going to take it back to the dealer to have it checked out again. did anybody have a problem like this before?

try wrapping the cloth or napkin around the break reservoir cap overnight to if you can spot it again the next day. Mine did the same thing and only I filled it to the max. I now kept mine just below the max line while the engine ran. I also replaced the cap. there was no more leakage for me since then. Good luck and keep us update.

try suggesting to your dealership to leave your car overnight to diagnose.

the leak went away by itself. just noticed something with the brake fluid reservoir since ive been keeping a close eye on it. is it normal for the fluid level to go up and down? when car is on and pedals are depressed few times, the level is about 3/16" below the max line. after letting the car sit overnight, before i start it up i check the fluid level and its slightly above the max line. is this normal?

there's a reason for the max line...if overfilled....and when you depress the brakes....the pressure builds and the fluids rise in the reservoir...and can leak.

park on a flat surface...and syphon out any excess brake fluid over the max line....be sure to protect your paint.

I have the same problem but finding it difficult to identify where its coming from, its seems to come from underneath . I am beginning to think it is the reservoir grommets but you say it isn't!
As you know it is difficult to access under the unit so I may have to take it out. I'm aware that the fluid level rises and falls so it isn't the cap which is always dry. I'm running out of ideas.
