Rx350 Loaner First Impressions
Wow, a 2007 loaner with 1000 miles on it. Am I lucky or what.
Pickup is greatly improved with new engine, this one was a awd flint mica, list price was 42k, no nav.
I noticed the 2007 has a coin holder in it! Nice.
Now if i can just get the engine out and swap it into my 330, JK..

When I took my RX330 to service, my Dealer gave me RX350 loaner, it was much better driving experience than RX330. The RX350 loaner didn't have Nav system. RX350 has much less wind noise on highways. I drove over 250 miles. I was surprized that Lexus doesn't check how much miles we drove.

i think that would basically defeat the purpose of it's barrier to entry: Some Lexus dealerships REALLY take care of their customers. Maybe I am spoiled now...but now i feel that since we spend $40,000+ for ours cars, this sets the bar for standards of customer satisfaction. If I drove a lot for work, and I had to take my car in for service, I hope they wouldnt charge me because I put more miles than an average commuter.
The dealership where I take it is incredible...the service dept is open 7/365 till 11pm! And I am glad they are...I had service done on my car on a saturday...left the house keys in the car after I dropped it off...but was out all day...towards the evening..9pm...i realized my house keys were in my car at the dealership...by the time I got to the dealership it was 10-something...but no problems...got my house keys...SUPERB Service dept...will not go to any other lexus dealership...further...they have over 25+ loaners...
I was talking to a buddy of mine who as a MB, he ended up getting a chevy impala and then a Doge pickup truck from enterprise cause they dont have loaners...his car was in for service for about 3-4 days....and they were going to charge him for the rental!
I'm sure people plan their "scheduled maintenance" on a friday so they can use a loaner for weekend trips...haha...but Im sure they get repeat customers because of this.

When I got my RX loaner from Sewell Lexus in Dallas, there was no limit except I need to return the car within 12 hrs after being notified/message left on my cell. So if you plan to take it away out of state, make sure you're within 12hrs. In TX, it's possible you're still within state boundary in 12hrs. Hehe!!

You can drive as far as you want. I dropped my car in to replace the HID lamps that was leaking (moisture) under warranty on a Thursday. They did not expect the car to get done until Monday. I asked about the milage limits since I live about 40 miles from work one way. I work on weekends also. They said there's none as long as I return the car within 12 hrs after notification or I get charge rental expenses. I am not sure if it was business hours but I was notified around 3pm Monday afternoon and did not return the car until 11am Tuesday. They did not say anything or even check the car for any damage I may have done to the car. I pulled in the loaner, left the keys, waited for five mins and they pulled my car and I drove off. My Lexus experience has been very pleasant so far!

My first experience with a Lexus loaner was about three years ago when I had a problem with my GS300 and took it to Lexus of Wayzata (MN). Gave me an ES300 to use with about 8000 miles on it. Ended up that the GS had to stay there for several days. Told me to take the loaner home (about 310 miles) and they would bring my GS to me and pick up the loaner Talk about service I didn't even buy my GS from Lexus, bought it at a place in Fargo, ND that deals in upscale vehicles. Didn't matter to Lexus of Wayzata. Told me it didn't matter where I bought it, I was a Lexus owner. Might also be why they are an "Elite of Lexus" dealer. Anyway, last summer decided to get a new Lexus and decided we wanted the RX330 for the AWD and a little more hauling room for traveling. Guess where we went? It's all because of service and those little extras.
