Question Noisy Brake Pedal

Has anyone noticed a clicking sound when releasing the brake pedal on the RX330?

I have the same problem. I am taking to dealer for them to check out. It is quite annoying. It happens when quickly releasing brake pedal.

I noticed that this clunking noise as you release the break, and it happens immediately, and for some reason I have begun to notice this on the car after 2 months of ownership as well. My mom does not care, but I do when I drive it and I am going to find out about this because this is very un-lexus like. To be more specific, the passengers sitting in the back can feel it release from the wheel, and its annoying.

Question

Ederny mentioned a TSB for this issue. Can you please post the TSB # as well?

Thanks!

THe TSB is BR003 00 and bascally describes a grease they apply between the pad backing plate and the piston to quiet the movement of the pad.

I do not think that TSB will solve the problem. The noise we are experiencing is coming from the pedal itself inside the vehicle - not from the brake pads. Thanks for the input though. I drove another rx330 - which was a loaner and it had the same noise. The loaner was built in Japan. Mine was built in Canada. It seems to be just the way the car was made. The dealer took a look at it and said they can not make any adjustments. I hope Lexus can come up with a solution for this. This type of car should not be making that sound. With the sounds coming from the dashboard when hitting bumps and the sound of the fuel injectors - my 2004 Dodge Stratus sounds more refined.
