Using Redline & Tap Water
Hey Guys,
I hope you had a great Holiday Season with your families. I just poured a whole bottle of Redline down my tank a couple days ago and filled it up just to clean my fuel system but I also wanted to know what your thoughts/opinions are on the following two YT videos on using tap water to clean your engine. I just did the method in the second YT video earlier this afternoon as I obviously don't have a carburetor on my RX300 and my car is still running fine (hopefully, that will still be the case tomorrow ). Anyway, I look forward to your thoughts.

Using Redline & Tap Water (UPDATE)
Hey Guys,
Just as an update, my car did start early this morning (whew!!!!). Also, there were two things that were noticeable:
1.) When I took it to the freeway on the way to work this morning, the car was very responsive in the on-ramp. I know the RX300 isn't a speed demon by nature but it felt pretty gutsy.
2.) Last night, when I took my family out to dinner, I started the engine and it got quiet shortly after it cranked over. It never did that before so I thought it stalled and I freaked out but it didn't.....I saw the tachometer and it was idling low & quiet like it wasn't running at all. That blew me away because that's how my wife's LX470 idles.
Anyway, so far, I am happy with my results of using Redline and then spraying tap water down my intake two days after pouring the Redline down my tank. I'm still interested in what your thoughts & opinions are.

Thank you for your input, LexMex. After the first full tank with Redline, I threw in another bottle on my second fill up just to make sure my fuel system is "really" clean. Do you think this may lead to some unforeseen damage? In addition, I plan on using Redline just before my next oil change and before every subsequent oil change thereafter as part of maintenance. I look forward to your input.

How much is this redline stuff and where can i find it and is it worth dripping a bottle into my tank?

EDIT: nevermind; found it locally at oreilly auto parts. its a little more cost wise but it sounds like its worth it.

Maybe no more updates on it yet?? not sure? But anyways; Im thinking of getting a bottle of that stuff myself and dropping it into the tank of my 99 300 to hopefully help give things a good cleaning. Because i have no idea when and or if the fuel system was ever cleaned out prior to me obtaining the vehicle.
