Dimmer not working
I just bought a 2003 RX300 from a dealer for my son - 96k miles. I negotiated them doing some work on it before I purchased - timing belt/water pump were primary. However, they also replaced the "D" light bulb in dash (not sure what that is). When I picked it up, the dash lights are very bright and the dimmer **** does not do anything. Should I be concerned that the bulb may burn out quickly as it is on full brightness? I doubt whether the dealer would agree to fix the dimmer switch at this point.

If they replaced the "D" bulb on the gauge cluster, then I believe they forgot to re-connect the dimmer cable. The process for replacing that bulb includes disconnecting and reconnecting the dimmer cable, so they were probably just sloppy.
It's a simple job that you can do without going back to them. Follow this DIY up to step 6: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...placement.html
I wouldn't worry about the high brightness though even once it is fixed. All of my dashboard lights and center display have been on full brightness since the car rolled off the lot and they all still work fine.
