Difference in pcv valves
The PCV valve for the RX300 2000 vintage was originally part number 12204-20010, then that part was superseded with the RED valve, part 12204-20020. Anybody know the difference?

If they're both the "push in" style that sits in the rubber grommet, maybe it was a vendor change with Toyota??
Otherwise, the valve base did change to a screw in style which is only compatible with a different valve cover design.

When we talk about part being superseded, it is supposed to simply swap in.
In this case the screw-in type PCV valve belongs to a different system [valve cover].
It is advisable to go to an authorized dealer with the VIN and they are supposed to give you the recommended (superseded) part.
