I'd rather have this than a vinyl cover.

Should have bought the ones I showed in this DIY, they cover everything and provide a tight fit: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ation-diy.html
AND! I only paid $23.50!!!!

Mine are leather, and with it being summer, I wanted to spend as little time doing this as possible. The garage isn't ever below about 94F, this time of year, even at 5:30AM.

Why not just buy the covers, take the armrest's off and take them to a leather upholster , have them stich on the new covers...shouldn't cost to much to get them stitched in. That is what I am planning to do on my Rx i am even planning to get my seats repaired or replaced witch ever is cheaper cause they are worn and cracking.

Truthfully, I am so focused on driving when I drive that I have yet to notice my armrests are actually different than they were 3 weeks ago. I'm a stickler when it comes to original, so unless the upholster can get 14 year old leather from Lexus, I'm totally fine with the swap. Let's face it, the car's 14 years old. It's worth what it's worth. If I go to sell, I can swap them back and I'm sure it would barely affect the value considering that's the only interior blemish. And as I've said, the angles are not as drastic as the picture makes them appear. You can only try and see for yourself.
