Pick your mechanic wisely or DIY
Yikes!!
Full story here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Justrolledin...just_happened/
The technician was working on the steering column inside the car and accidentally kicked the rack arms out and then raised the car and it fell. The same week he dropped a hose clamp in an engine and it blew up. He is now unemployed.

Everyone says to find an honest mechanic, I have one that's too honest.
I dropped off one of my cars and when I went to pick it up he said,
"Well, I fiddled with the carburetor and seemed to have it running fine, then I got this bill from my daughter's orthodontist and I had to pull the engine."

Well, your vehicle rarely falls off a rack. If it does, you likely have minimal monetary concerns.
Still, it'd sting.
