2003 RX300 replaced actuator, remote fob no longer works
I replaced the front passenger side door lock actuator in my wife's 2003 RX300. Door locks work fine using the driver and passenger power lock/unlock. She has a remote start fob that also works to lock unlock the doors successfully.
Prior to the repair, we had two keys with integral /lock/unlock/panic buttons that functioned. Neither work now.
I definitely reconnected the wiring completely, so that isn't it. I disconnected the battery for a half hour in hopes it would chase away gremlins. I even removed the door panel again, disconnected and reconnected the wires to the actuator--still no joy.
I tried the steps to reprogram the remote (key in/out, lock/unlock 5 times, etc...), which did not work--in fact I got no indication that it was in "remote add" nor "confirmation" mode when I did this, so there is definitely something amiss.
Remote LEDs work fine on both remotes.
Any ideas or directions are appreciated...
