what should I do now? Dealer failed to replace knock sensor
#16
Just a question. If the timing belt is off one notch, would it cause the knock sensor code to show? It's been a couple of years, since I had both knock sensors replaced. Does the mechanic even have to loose the TB to change the knock sensors or harnesses? Just a guest, but seems like I had an issue like that and after research on this forum. I took it back and asked the mechanic to check it and the TB WAS off one notch. The mechanic at least admitted it!

Now the speculative part ... I would expect CEL related to timing problem to show up with belt being off .. like cam sensor etc.
