Depends on the price difference and how much you value your time. I will usually buy OEM if the part takes a long time to change and the price isn't outrageous.

X2 OE is only $5 more, do it once with OE and forget about it for another 10 years.

That is what I will do. For now the code is gone after replacing the A/F sensor. I will buy a thermostat anyway just in case it comes back.

The P0125 is a "ghost" code that will never come back. It just is a tag along code when the air fuel sensor dies.
