Lube gas pedal and shifter cable
I feel that my 2001 rx300's gas pedal is sticking. I know the car has a different and better tranny and operation, but I'd like to lube up the gas pedal. Is there a DIY for this anywhere?
Also, the dealer tech said I should lube the auto trans cable. I can't find ANY access to do anything. Hope I don't have to take out the center console.
Anyone offer any hints?

accelerator cable
Nope, haven't touched a thing. Just seems a little tight and sticky, like a rusted cable.
Half the problem is my wife's foot, but I notice that I can't get a nice even movement when I drive it either.
Surely there must be something to lube along the way.

Better way to do it is just tighten the cable and that will give you more response.
You need to tighten both bolts so they go in the direction shown (toward passenger side) as far as they can go. Bolts uses a 10mm wrench.
