I just did a mechanical check from dealer, he told me the transfer case has a little leaking. I am new to cars, so I don't know how serious it is. Should I need to pay 330 to fix it? Thanks very much

I would wipe the underside of the transfer case very carefully, then see exactly where the leak comes from. If it's a fill or drain plug, I would try to tighten it (within recommended specs; I'm sure they're on the forum here somewhere) then see if the leak persists. It might be time to change the fluid (pretty easy), but you'll want to buy some new drain and fill plug gaskets first. I found the needed info in the DIY section. Good luck!

Since we cannot see it, we can't assess the amount of fluid you are losing. If there are only a few drops and not noticable loss of fluid over time, then I would say save your money. If you are dealing with a reputable shop, chances are that the plugs are not the source of the leak, but rather a gasket on the case. This can be expensive to replace.

Last summer i replaced all seals and the front iron shell(cover) of the tranfer case for leaking. I also replaced the rear main seal, Timing belt, pulleys, water pump and full tune up with pulstar spark plugs same time. Parts are cheap but labour cost was expensive. I bought the parts and paid $900.00 labour to a toyota dealer mechanic (about 16 yrs with toyota dealer) in Freeohold New Jersey. Now no leaks. Upload the picture of TC leaks.
